With the use of
lithium batteries becoming more frequent, the need to regulate shipping is a growing concern. As lithium batteries pose a
chemical and electrical hazard, companies are now responsible to follow the regulations and packing instructions set by the
ICAO/IATA.
-
• The type of lithium battery you have and what section it falls under will determine the set of labels you'll need.
- • Lithium battery forbidden markings follows DOT’s HM-224C requirements for when transporting batteries is not permitted.
- • Comply with USPS Publication 52 regulation using our custom label with additional info tab. USPS now forbids used, damaged or defective devices with lithium batteries to be mailed by air. Labels must be marked with Restricted Electronic Device and Surface Transportation Only messages.
